One area of success has been our Ebay outlet at http://www.central-aid.org.uk/ebay/. We have managed to raise several hundred pounds so far. This helps to subsidise grants and keep us in operation. We continue to be indebted to a small band of regular volunteers. Without them it would be impossible to achieve what we do. And finally, I just heard today from one of our regular working customers who has been buying old-fashioned furniture from us over the past 18 months to take back home to Greece for his retirement. He drove his caravan (packed to the roof with furniture) from High Wycombe all the way home to Greece in August, and made it there in one piece (just about). The good news is: he's back working in Wycombe, and he's just bought an even bigger second-hand caravan ... Here's hoping the run-up to Christmas will prove to be a busy one for us! Turnover is everything now if we are to survive! Andrew Lyon
