The High Wycombe Central Aid Society runs a Pop-in for the over 50's in the centre of Wycombe on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is organised by a team of our volunteers who aim to ensure that everyone feels at home. The Pop-in is a nice place to make new friends or in some cases renew old friendships.
Activities
All are welcome to come in for just a chat and a cup of tea, or for something to eat. The menu includes tea or coffee and biscuits, sandwiches and cooked meals. Hot meals are freshly prepared by Erica, our own chef.
From 2pm there are exercise classes to music every other Tuesday, and bingo every Thursday for those that want to join in. A range of other events, outings and talks are also organised.
50+ Pop-in Update
There is a buzz of excitement at the Pop-in these days, with the volunteers and customers integrating well. The Christmas Party being the talk of the moment. The changes to the menu have proved popular, with steak, fruit and banoffee pie added to name just a few. Bingo sessions are growing steadily with a few new faces which is good to see. Keep fit still has its faithful followers. The trips are well attended and the holiday to Weston-super-Mare was a success.
